Hand of God

"May the Lord continually bless
you with heaven's blessings
as well as with human joys."
Psalm 128:5 TLB

Pea in a pod

I love this photo of Rod and Annaliese.
It is when I see them together like this that I realise how alike they really are.

Like her spiderman tattoo? She thinks it is great! (Aunty Kerryn introduced us to tattoos at Dreamworld when she was up, thanks for that kezza! See what you have done to my little girl?

What a lovely couple?

What are you laughing at?

Annaliese took this photo for us that is why it is not quite centred
but it is better than some of the others,
let's say "they were artistic!"

Beneath the Lighthouse

I just liked this photo hope you do too?

Yeah Puddles!!!

Benny being a free spirit!
Like father like son,
hey Beck?

Mermaidia

Here is Amy, Hannah and Cartia finding sea urchins. All of the kids had fun exploring in the rock pools and squishing the Carnji (not sure if this is how you spell it?). But these three were the closest thing to Mermaids that we could see!

"Cheeeeese"

Annaliese, Cartia, Isabella, Benaton and Jsjiah lining up ready for food.... Birthday Cake , other goodies and of course cheese!

Catching up with Grandma and Grandpa

It was good to catch up with Grandpa and Grandma yesterday too. It was good to see Grandpa doing well after his eye operation last week. He had an adventurous trip to Tony's secret location which had him up and down big hills. But truthfully I think it made him feel young again. I am sure that they slept well last night, nothing like fresh air!

Summer's Dedication!

Whilst celebrating Summer's birthday we also shared in her dedication which was done by the family and witnessed by friends. Cartia also had a turn at sharing a special message to her little sister. Summer entertained everyone (must be a Moore.... loves the spotlight and does it so well). She was very cute!

Happy 1st Birthday Summer!

Today we celebrated Summer's First Birthday at Point Cartright beneath the lighthouse. It was a perfect afternoon in a picturesque setting! She had a fantastic time. It is hard to believe that it has really been 12 months since we visited Beck and her little bundle in hospital! Wow how time flies by.

Beach Baby!

Charlie's first play in the sand at Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast!
So far so good!

Friends Forever

I know that is going back a few months (like try February).... but this was the last time that we caught up with and met Charlie (Libby and Chris Potter's son) .

For those of you who do not know... Libby and I have been best of friends for what seems like forever. Recently at Charlie's Christening we worked out that we have been friends now for 25 years!!! Wow that does make us sound old. Only seems like yesterday that we were playing Barbies and chasing boys together. (and not at the same time!)

Anyway we had a great day catching up whilst we devoured muffins from the markets, lunch and coffee including a trip to the beach. This was Charlie's first ever trip to the sand and the surf. "He enjoyed it loads" as Lib would say even though it was a totally new experience having the waves knock him over in a hole dug by the girls. Meanwhile, the fellers missing out on the whole thing as they visited second-hand book stores looking for the most unusual of books to add to Chris's collection. We are looking forward to catching up again in the next few months before they return to England.... Most sad!

Mother's Day... Butter wouldn't melt?

Well what a day! We were on doing Sunday School this morning at church so it was a busy start to the day. I was spoilt by Rod and the girls with a lovely selection of pressies (a Jag bag and wallet which I desperately needed and some treats made by the girls at school and child care). After a tantrum from Annaliese, we headed to the beach for lunch which was lovely and we watched the girls playing on the playground and the huge surf tumbling onto the beach. This afternoon while Annaliese slept I got a chance to relax by watching a DVD 'The Holiday' which was a great feel good chick flick. Well worth the watch for all you mum's out there. So although this picture looks like butter won't melt in their mouths .... DON'T BE DECEIVED!

Little Meg

For the past couple of months, our friends little girl comes to play on Wednesday at our house. Meg seems to cope quite well with being the third child going to swimming lesssons and watching the girls play around her. They always make sure that she has enough to play with and someone to talk to. As you can see here.... Annaliese is even sharing her Raah's!

Girl Power

One cool Saturday night in April when the Morriss's were here, we met up with Bec, Damo,Cella, Wal and Eliza at Mooloolaba for tea. The adults had Thai and the children had fish and chips picnic style. A great night had by all. The girls entertained themselves on the beach under lights while we ate tea and chatted. It was great to catch up with Wal and Eliza as it has been a while. We look forward to catching up again soon.

Chocoholic

Amelia (my niece, I think takes after her aunty in the chocky department) was an absolute classic on Easter morning, we couldn't leave any chocolate lying around or Amelia would find it. Later in the day she was still finding eggs to sneak. Here she is very proud of herself... if you look the previous photo she is eating an egg and we couldn't get her attention. I am sure that easter will be her favourite time of year!

Easter Surprise

Well to our surprise... when we awoke on Easter Sunday... the Easter bunny had come and hidden lots of eggs in our garden! Isabella, Amelia, Tamsyn, Cheyenne and Annaliese had a fantastic time hunting for eggs to fill their baskets and then counting them up to see who got the most? He also left us a Humpty dumpty egg each at the end of our camping beds in the garage where we all slept togehter! It was loads of fun!!!

The Morriss Clan Hit The Coast!!

At Easter time the Morriss clan (Rod's sister, Kerryn, Simon, Tamsyn and Amelia) came for a holiday on the Sunshine coast. They certainly had an action packed holiday visiting all the Theme Parks and doing lots of fishing in between (Thanks to Simon's great Catch we were able to have a serve of Travali on Good Friday). The cousins had a good time hanging out together although a little too intense at times... So intense Amelia decided to escape and take some time out to explore the neighbourhood! Certainly a memorable moment had by all.

Our Swimming Champ!

Annaliese loves her swimming lessons.... She loves to swim under the water and picking up the toys from the bottom of the pool. This is Annaliese's favourite activity of the week and she counts down to it asking "Is it my turn for swimming tomorrow?" Let's hope this enthusiasm continues as the winter months roll in.

The Fun Run....

Isabella had her first "Fun Run" at school last week! When Pa asked her "How did she go?" she replied by asking him "Why do they call it a Fun Run when all that happens is you get HOT!!?" However she did quite well coming tenth in the two classes of preps running. She was greeted at the finish line by Mummy and Annaliesey cheering. Then all the children were given a red ribbon of participation and an ice block! Somehow that made it all worthwhile!

Our Nona and Chey

While Pam and Flash were here, Fiona and Chey came to visit. So we packed up and went to Noosa for the day touring. (Chance for me to drive Fi's new car too!) It was a lovely day window shopping on Hasting street and checking out the beach along the coast. (I think that Nanny felt young again taking a swim in the surf at Coolum beach.) But here is a lovely photo of Fiona and Chey waiting for our fish and chips.

Ready for School

Earlier in the year Nanny and Poppa came to visit and have a holiday well sort of... Nanny has problems relaxing, so after the garden was attended to, washing done and ironed stratight from the clothesline no less, and the house spotless (including the garage cleaned out and chucked out) she could finally relax! They both enjoy coast living and being able to take Bella to school and Annaliese to Aussie Kids. Here is Bella in her new uniform for Prep at Mountain Creek State School which she loves. She is so keen to get there she didin't want to have a day off while Nanny and Poppa were visiting incase she missed something! Sound familiar?

Happy 80th Birthday Ma!!!

On Anzac day the family got together for Ma's 80th birthday before Ma and Pa left for trip around Australia with David and Elaine. Ma had a great time seeing all the family and the kids brightened her day. They all had fun seeing each other. A great day had by all!

On the road again...

Well... here is Ma and Pa ready to depart the Taylor's on Thursday 10th May 2007. The girls were fascinated by the toilet amenities and kept going to check it out for themselves. They had honey wheats together before saying their goodbyes. Have fun and see you when you arrive home... The girls are watching their journey on a map of Australia.
